Super-Line system is a network that promotes the extraction of reusable parts from discarded cars for recycling. Until 1988, used car parts were loosely managed by auto salvage yards. However in 1988, a system concept was launched that targeted the formation of a nationwide computer database for used car part companies based on the concept of establishing a shared inventory for those used car parts. And system operations were started the following year in November 1989. Super line system functions with an excellent balance between productive human resource training and a computer system that was designed with pursuit of usage ease. Today the Super line system handles transactions for over 1.7 million parts per year and has expanded to include 270 partner companies. In order to provide customers with parts of the highest quality, a word that does not normally go hand in hand with used car parts, SPN conducts through quality control based on world class technology and is thereby able to reliably recycle used car parts. Reusable parts are carefully selected from discarded vehicles. A chart is prepared and then components such as the door and the engine are removed in the factory. If the engine is to be reused a strict performance check is first conducted including areas such as the compression ratio. Thanks to Armond for laying down the foundation lead guitar, bass and drum tracks (check out his amazing guitar lead at 1:56) and having me collaborate and improvise along with the keyboard, adding synthesizer tracks for the flute, choral sounds, organ, and then saxes for the ending. GarageBand was used for layering music tracks. Video was edited (my first film editing experience) with iMovie 08. Sound effects came from both the iMovie and iLife sound effects libraries. My first Music Video is dedicated to the late Jim Gary, an amazing internationally known sculptor who made huge, sometimes life size dinosaurs out of various automobile parts.

This is my first 1970 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser I got in 1983, it was already quite rusty, but I drove it until 1989 when the frame cracked in the rear. I drove it to this very spot when it was an open field. The car will obviously not be on the road again, I am glad I did not throw it away, for it is nice source of little trim parts – that are still good, and the A/C is still charged! – for my 1972 Vista Cruiser seen here. It was a very impromptu trip, thus the lack of protection from the biting bugs and thorns, but then again, what old car parts hunt would be fun without drawing a little blood!
